Abstract

Inclusive education requires innovative pedagogical strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including those with special needs. Two central approaches in this framework are differentiated instruction and authentic assessment, both designed to ensure fairness, accessibility, and active engagement in learning. This literature-based study reviews recent innovations in applying these methods within inclusive school contexts. By analyzing international peer-reviewed journal articles, the review identifies several critical success factors: the effective use of adaptive technology, the development of personalized learning pathways, and the encouragement of active student participation. These components repeatedly emerge as essential in strengthening inclusive teaching and learning practices. The study not only builds a conceptual basis for understanding differentiated instruction and authentic assessment but also provides practical recommendations for educators in creating inclusive and responsive instructional designs. Ultimately, the findings serve as a useful reference for teachers, researchers, and policymakers committed to advancing innovation in inclusive education systems.
