The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly reshaped the education sector, particularly in school management and learning design. Open innovation emerges as a strategic framework to address the growing complexity of education by fostering collaboration among teachers, students, technology developers, and broader communities. This study adopts a literature review approach by analyzing 15 scholarly articles focusing on open innovation and educational digitalization. The findings indicate that open innovation enhances managerial adaptability, promotes cross-stakeholder collaboration, and supports more contextual, flexible, and participatory learning models. The successful implementation of this approach is driven by the utilization of Learning Management Systems (LMS), adaptive curriculum development, and the establishment of an open organizational culture. Nonetheless, several challenges persist, including digital inequality, limited technological competence, and cultural resistance within schools. Overall, this study concludes that open innovation provides a relevant and effective pathway to strengthen educational quality in the era of continuous digital transformation.
