Abstract

Educational innovation is essential in building a learning system that is inclusive, flexible, and responsive to the varied needs of all learners, including those with special needs. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to explore different forms of educational innovation specifically aimed at supporting the learning experiences of students with special needs. Through this approach, researchers can thoroughly synthesize trends, pedagogical models, and challenges in implementing inclusive educational practices developed over the last decade. The findings highlight that adaptive tools such as digital assistive technologies, interactive learning platforms, and the application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles are the dominant innovations that have effectively improved accessibility and student engagement. Additionally, teacher involvement, family-provided academic and emotional support, and the existence of policies promoting inclusivity emerge as key enablers. Altogether, these insights provide valuable contributions to shaping educational policies and practices that emphasize not only equal access but also the quality and sustainability of learning for every student.
